These terms describe what you can expect from Digital Footprint Academy and what we expect from you. They apply to every module, exercise, and downloadable file we publish, whether you open it once or return to it over several months.
Our modules cover programming concepts, software development practice, digital systems, and general IT fundamentals. They are written for self-paced study and assume no prior professional experience. Nothing here is a certification, an accredited qualification, or a substitute for formal training at a recognised institution. We describe concepts and walk through examples; how far you take them is up to you.
If you register, keep your login details to yourself and tell us promptly if you suspect someone else has access. You may use the material for your own learning. You may not resell it, republish it as your own course, scrape it in bulk, or use it to build a competing product. Sharing a single exercise with a study partner is fine. Uploading an entire module to a public repository or file-sharing service is not.
Text, diagrams, sample code, and exercise structures remain the property of Digital Footprint Academy unless a lesson states otherwise. You are welcome to adapt code snippets inside your own projects, including commercial ones. Reproducing our written explanations or diagrams in another publication requires written permission from us first.
We do not promise employment, income, a particular job title, or a fixed completion time. Learners arrive with different backgrounds and study at different speeds. What we commit to is clear explanations, working examples, and material that stays technically accurate. Progress depends on the time and attention you put in.
We update lessons when tools, languages, or conventions change, and we occasionally retire content that no longer reflects current practice. Modules may be revised, reorganised, or removed without prior notice. If a scheduled maintenance window affects access, we aim to announce it in advance on the site.
The material is provided as-is for educational purposes. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on a lesson, for code you deploy in your own environment, or for losses arising from technical errors in examples. Always test code in a safe setting before using it on live systems or with real data.
You can stop using the academy at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, particularly in cases of redistribution or misuse of the material. Where reasonable, we will explain the reason before acting.
We revise these terms when our services or legal obligations change. The current version is always the one published on this page, and the date of the last revision is shown alongside it. Continuing to use the academy after an update means you accept the revised terms.
